The Role
Working within our centralised Group Procurement team, the Sourcing and Category Manager will be responsible for leading their assigned Category through category management, supplier relationship management and sourcing activities. You’ll develop category plans and execute sourcing and procurement activities for an annual spend of circa $100M.
We are supportive of flexible working arrangements and this role can be based on site or from your home office anywhere in Australia.
Accountabilities:
2. Develop and execute a robust end-to-end Category Management strategy across all assigned areas of spend and ensuring alignment with Pact business objectives and key stakeholders
3. Identify and execute sourcing initiatives
4. Develop and execute robust sourcing strategies incorporating business requirements and utilising appropriate concepts/frameworks, supply models, supply market research and relevant analysis to support the strategy developed
5. Lead and drive supplier relationships to deliver on-going value from strategic suppliers throughout the contract life cycle
6. Identify and develop suppliers (alternate or new) to support revenue growth through innovative new products or services and manage supply risk for the business
7. Drive procurement processes ensuring key aspects relating to risk management, quality, ethical sourcing, sustainability and legal compliance are considered in line with Pact Group policies

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
8. Proven experience and knowledge of procurement and contract management
9. Demonstrable experience in leading and managing categories of spend, applying category management processes, executing sourcing initiatives, business cases and category plans
10. Problem-solving ability & commercial acumen, understanding the impact of decision making on the business
11. Strong strategic thinking and analytical ability, utilising big data to create meaningful and useful intelligence
12. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop relationships and influence key stakeholders
