Job Title: Community Safety Specialist

A career as a Case Manager in Community Corrections offers a unique opportunity to support positive change and enhance community safety.

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Townsville team, where you will play a vital part in supervising individuals on community-based orders or parole, helping them make meaningful progress while contributing to a safer Queensland.

Townsville is a relaxed, sun-soaked capital of North Queensland, boasting over 300 days of sunshine each year. Surrounded by natural wonders, including the Great Barrier Reef, lush rainforests, pristine beaches, and unique wetlands, Townsville is a hub for adventure and outdoor living.

Whether you're into stadium sports, hiking, wildlife encounters, or simply enjoying warm hospitality and a strong sense of community, Townsville offers an enviable lifestyle and could be the perfect place to grow your career.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prioritise community safety when interviewing individuals, assessing and responding effectively to risk.
* Manage multiple and complex demands and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, whilst navigating policy and procedural frameworks to implement daily offender management policies.
* Support productive working relationships with internal teams, external service providers, and community stakeholders.
* Act with integrity and display personal drive.
* Communicate with influence, adapting your approach to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
* Respect and embrace diversity, fostering an inclusive environment.

Why Join Us?

We're committed to building safer communities—and that starts with supporting our people. As a Case Manager, you'll benefit from:

* An attractive salary package, including employer superannuation and locality allowance.
* Nationally accredited training, including a Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Community), with ongoing professional development.
* Comprehensive leave entitlements to support your wellbeing and work-life balance.
* Structured career progression and tailored development plans to help you grow.
* An inclusive and supportive culture where diversity is valued.

Requirements:

* Hold a current driver's licence.
* Have full working rights in Australia.
* Possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Criminology, Law, Justice, Psychology, Social Work, Social Sciences, Education, Health, Business, or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies.

To thrive in this role, you'll need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. If you're passionate about making a difference in your community, we encourage you to apply.
