It’s no easy task, but nothing rewarding ever is.What you’ll do:Based at the Santos GLNG plant on Curtis Island, the position of Process Technician will perform operational and minor maintenance duties to maintain the safe, efficient and environmentally sound operation of the LNG Facility, including disruptions, emergencies, plant shutdown and start up.* Please note, there is a shift roster associated with this role. We are currently recruiting multiple positions so if successful, your shift may be a days only roster, or mix of day/night roster.Key accountabilities include:Respond safely and effectively to emergency situations to make the area/Plant safeOperate Process and Utility areas safely and efficiently within defined operating limits to meet daily production targets, volume, quality and yield.Perform work aligning with the definition of minor maintenance within their competence. Records all work aligned with the site maintenance management system.Identify and reports workplace hazards, incidents and near misses and takes action to control hazards.Enhances equipment and unit reliability by adopting sound operating practicesMaintain effective communication with shift team members and others, including well documented and structured shift handoversIssue work permits and perform gas testing, ensuring that maintenance and project activities are conducted in compliance with the Santos Work Permit Procedure (SWPP).Prepare equipment for maintenance and project work and ensure equipment is isolated in compliance with Equipment Isolation procedures and SWPP. Recommissions equipment when completeParticipate in shutdown and turnaround planning and execution, including development of procedures and shutdown work packsWhat you’ll bring:We are looking for an Operations Technician with significant experience in a similar role within LNG operations. As a motivated self-starter, you will be confident working autonomously and as part of a collaborative team. Your keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills and troubleshooting abilities are essential, along with a safety focus and drive to pursue exceptional results.For this role you must have either Cert III or IV in Process Plant Technology and the ability to obtain a MSIC Security Card.
