We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team who share our vision of building a sustainable and profitable major Australian gold business.About the role: Westgold Resources is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to lead the safe and efficient extraction of gold at our underground Beta Hunt Operations.
This pivotal role will see the successful incumbent lead a team of junior Mining Engineers to develop and deliver safe, efficient production plans covering drilling, charging and remote bogging activities.
The role will be based at Beta Hunt Mine - Kambalda and offered on a permanent 8 days on, 6 days off roster.
The Beta Hunt Mine is owner-operated using conventional underground mining methods.
The mine is ramping production rates to 2Mtpa with increased mined material transported through a newly constructed second decline.ResponsibilitiesPlan, supervise and implement weekly drill and blast activities with a focus on operational excellenceSchedule, own, plan and manage the 3MS process using Deswik ISEnsure adherence to and continuous improvement of drill and blast standards to optimize recovery and minimize dilutionsPromote a high-performance culture by coaching, engaging with and providing feedback to Production and Graduate EngineersAssist the Mining Manager/Alternate with a range of operational and technical tasks, including fulfilling statutory responsibilities when requiredSupport daily underground operations and contribute to achieving production targets through sound engineering practicesWhat do I need?
