Job Overview
The Senior Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and engineering functions of a property. This includes ensuring guest safety, comfort, and satisfaction while protecting the owner's investment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic support to the Director of Engineering in achieving key goals.
Plan and implement preventative maintenance to maintain high standards and deliver a positive guest experience.
Manage and optimize the Maintenance Request System, identifying areas for improvement through analysis.
Delegate general repairs and maintenance tasks to the property team or external contractors as required.
Promote resource management efficiency and conservation practices.
Liaise with the Director of Engineering and Finance regarding contractor utilization and expenditure control.
Ensure effective waste removal from Hotel areas and monitor cleanliness standards.
Collaborate closely with front desk and housekeeping teams to expedite room turnarounds.
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering (preferred)
Proven experience as a Chief Engineer/Facilities Manager or similar role.
Solid technical knowledge of building systems, including Electrical, HVAC, and Mechanical.
Familiarity with health and safety practices and regulations.
Knowledge of Australian Standards related to facilities management.
Experience in Body/Owners Corporation settings.
Strong project management skills.
