Service Advisor
Job Description:
The Service Advisor is responsible for greeting all customers cheerfully and attending to their requirements promptly. They obtain and record full customer/vehicle details and an accurate description of work to be carried out. The Service Advisor liaises with the Foreman/Service Manager on the progress of vehicles in the Workshop.
Responsibilities:
- Greet all customers cheerfully and attend to their requirements promptly.
- Obtain and record full customer/vehicle details and an accurate description of work to be carried out.
- Liaise with the Foreman/Service Manager on the progress of vehicles in the Workshop.
- Inform customers of any delays in completion, complying with the Company Pledge.
- Maintain the Workshop loading system.
- Inform customers of any work that cannot be completed and arrange future appointments.
- Prepare both cash and account invoices.
- Present invoices to cash customers and receive payment before vehicle removal.
- Handle customer queries and complaints.
- Work with the Service Manager to ensure the Workshop loading utilises full labour potential.
- Ensure warranty information is recorded on the Job Card.
- Liaise with Parts Department regarding parts on order for vehicles and upcoming bookings.
- File Job Cards and other documentation.
- Be flexible to cover a variety of duties across the company as required by management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Promote good customer relations.
- Ensure customers' instructions are recorded and followed.
- Sell available labour and services.
- Support and implement the Company's Quality System and follow relevant procedures.
- Observe Fire and Safety regulations at all times.
