The role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of IGA Queen Street Village which operates 365 days a year. As Store Manager you will be at the forefront of the business and you'll take pride in delivering a store that is warm and welcoming for our team, customers, and community members. You'll ensure your store is well presented and your team provides excellent customer service all whilst meeting your key KPIs in store such as sales, gross profit, wages, and loss.
Your key responsibilities:
* Inspire, lead, coach, and develop a large team of 80+
* Nurture a culture of support, customer focus, career progression, community involvement, and FUN!
* Care passionately about leading a culture of safety for our team and customers
* Ensure that KPI's are met and exceeded such as sales, gross profit, wages, and loss
* Inspire customers by ensuring visual merchandising and food safety standards are met
* Act with pace while ensuring outstanding quality of service and products
What you'll need to succeed:
* Proven supermarket retail management experience, minimum 5 years
* Previous experience in managing a large format supermarket and fresh department management
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to effectively delegate tasks
* Strong, inspirational leadership skills, be passionate about your team and all things retail
* Well-developed customer service and communication skills
* Love of staff development!! Motivated to train and upskill your team
* Proactive attitude with the ability to react and adapt quickly
* Strong administration and financial analysis ability
* Visual merchandising skills to lead a team
* Confidence in a large stock operation
* Confident attitude with a respectful and warm approach
* The ability to work a Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday roster
* Australian work rights required for this position
