About the Role
One of our government clients is looking for a project officer to join their team. The Project Officer will collaborate with the Program Manager and Senior Project Officers within the program to help create and put into action the organisations standards. This will include tasks like arranging and aiding in public feedback processes, offering administrative help for program committees, conducting research by reviewing literature and analysing data, writing documents related to different program aspects, and giving assistance for projects.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Handle buying stuff and dealing with contracts, money, and invoices using the Commission's money system (SAP) and assist with making a budget and checking it.
2. Help set up and manage committees.
3. Work with the Program Manager to take care of the program's money and cash flow.
4. Organize electronic documents using TRIM.
5. Help with meetings for committees and expert groups. This includes getting ready for the meeting, taking notes, and doing other office tasks.
6. Help with managing projects, like planning, doing paperwork, and keeping track of progress. If there are problems, suggest solutions.
7. Study and understand data, reports, books, and expert opinions. Use this information to help with program projects and plans.
8. Put together, edit, and write papers, letters, and other documents for the program.
9. Work with other team members and different program groups in the Commission to support the team's work.
10. Talk with government authorities, groups, individuals, and non-profit organizations to help with the program's top priorities.
What you’ll need to succeed
11. Demonstrated project management experience to manage a range of competing projects
12. Experience in writing effectively for different audiences and in different formats
13. Demonstrated experience in contract management and procurement
14. Experience facilitating the work of committees, and engaging and communicating with stakeholders
15. Experience in literature reviews and searches
16. Relevant tertiary qualifications desirable.
