The Nepean Mental Health Centre provides inpatient care for people experiencing acute mental health issues through the short-stay Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC), the Acute Mental Health Unit, Mental Health High Dependency Unit, and Older Persons Mental Health Unit. We support our Patients by linking them to case managers for ongoing treatment and support within an environment appropriate to the person's needs.

What you will bring to the role

* Current registration as a Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Demonstrated advanced clinical experience in mental health pharmacy, including knowledge of psychotropic medicines and management of high-risk medications. (e.g. Clozapine, LAIs)
* Proven leadership skills, including experience in supervising pharmacy staff and technicians, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to staff development.
* Demonstrated knowledge of medication safety principles and experience implementing safety and quality initiatives aligned with national (NSQHS) standards
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment, providing expert advice to clinicians, consumers and carers
* Demonstrated understanding of clinical governance processes, including policy development, incident report management, and participation in service evaluation
* Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development, research, and the use of evidence-based practice.
* Proven ability to manage competing priorities, exercise professional judgement, and work autonomously in a complex and dynamic mental health service environment.
