Nurse Unit Manager Position Overview
As a Nurse Unit Manager, you will play a vital role in providing expert clinical nursing care and leading a team of nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for using information systems to guide quality improvement and ensuring adherence to corporate policies.
* To be successful in this position, you must have demonstrated effective leadership skills, including advanced communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation abilities.
* You should also have proven experience in developing, embedding, and supporting Domestic and Family Violence health assessment processes and documentation.
* A minimum of 3 years post-registration nursing experience, with competence in community nursing and experience in areas such as Sexual Health, Aboriginal Health, Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol, or Community Health is required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide holistic clinical nursing care to consumers affected by Domestic and Family Violence.
* Lead and support nursing staff through education, training, and clinical leadership.
* Use information systems and performance data to guide quality improvement, risk management, and adherence to corporate policies.
* Maintain effective working relationships, manage conflicts, and responsibly oversee resources.
Requirements:
* Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Demonstrated effective leadership skills, including advanced communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation abilities.
