Kids on Beaufort is a long-day care service that provides a safe, engaging and supportive environment for children aged 0 to 5 years. We focus on children’s wellbeing, learning and development through play-based programs and positive relationships.
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team on a full-time basis. The role involves supporting children’s daily routines, guiding behaviour, and helping create a warm learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in setting up learning areas, activity materials and play equipment.
· Deliver age-appropriate activities, including art, group time, and outdoor play.
· Supervise children and ensure their safety, hygiene, meals, rest routines and general care.
· Encourage positive behaviour and help children build social and emotional skills.
· Maintain clean, safe and organized rooms and outdoor areas.
· Communicate with families about children’s general wellbeing and daily activities.
· Follow centre policies, health and safety requirements and regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
· Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher).
· Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
· I’m Alert Food Safety Certificate (will be organised for the successful candidate)
· Current First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain)
· Mandatory Reporter Training or willingness to obtain
· Strong understanding of children’s needs, safety and developmental stages
· Good communication skills and ability to work and lead a positive team
