Austal is seeking two Communications Specialists to join our dynamic team:
* Communications Specialist – Austal Ships
* Communications Specialist – Austal Defence Australia (ADA)
These roles are pivotal in delivering clear, accurate, and engaging communication across our organisation and to external stakeholders. What's Involved
* Develop and deliver internal communications that keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with organisational priorities.
* Support external communication activities, including media relations, social media, and digital content creation, ensuring consistent brand messaging across all channels.
* Coordinate events and campaigns, manage stakeholder enquiries, and assist with corporate disclosures and reporting.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain communication processes, content calendars, and reporting frameworks that drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
You'll Need
* Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or related field.
* Excellent writing and editing skills with demonstrated experience producing high-quality media releases, story pitches, executive communications and digital content
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships across diverse stakeholders
* Strong project management and organisational skills; able to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
* 6+ years' experience delivering effective communication and publicity campaigns across multiple channels
