Database Administration Role Overview

As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the high availability and performance of MS SQL database instances.
\
You will monitor and manage database performance, replication, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks using index tuning, dvm, and third-party monitoring tools.
\
The key duties of this role include developing, implementing, and managing database clustering, maintenance plans, including automated backups and disaster recovery strategies. You will also manage security configurations, including certificate management and access control.
\
Experience with Azure and DevOps processes and tools such as Azure DevOps and Git is desirable. Database administrators must have strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to database management.
