Residential Support Worker – Youth Justice

The Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you'll support young people on remand by creating a safe, stable and respectful home environment. You'll guide them through daily routines, encourage healthy choices, and help them meet bail conditions.
When the residence is unoccupied, you'll shift into a community-based role—mentoring youth, building relationships, and promoting the service locally. Flexibility and readiness to return to residential duties at short notice are essential.

What You'll Need
* Cert III in Community Services, Youth Work, or 1+ year relevant experience
* Experience with young people, including those with complex needs
* Strong communication and cultural awareness, especially with Aboriginal communities
* Practical skills: household tasks, documentation, and use of Microsoft Office
* A calm, resilient, and respectful approach
Essential Requirements
* National Police Check (within 3 months)
* Working With Children Check
* Current driver's licence & First Aid Certificate
* DOJ identity verification and full working rights in Australia
