Salesforce Platform Lead
As the Salesforce Platform Lead you'll own the health, scalability, and delivery effectiveness of our Salesforce platform as it continues to grow as a company-wide system.
You will act as the stable operating layer between business demand and delivery teams, ensuring Salesforce evolves in a controlled, transparent, and sustainable way.
This is not a hands-on developer or ticket-based administrator role. Instead, the Salesforce Platform Lead provides architectural leadership, delivery insight, and capacity transparency so the business can make informed prioritisation decisions without compromising platform health or delivery teams.
This is a leadership role operating at the intersection of platform architecture, delivery enablement, and stakeholder alignment. Salesforce is treated as a shared organisational platform, not a team-specific system.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end Salesforce platform architecture across clouds, integrations, data models, and environments across 2 instances (Australia & US). Ensure long-term scalability, performance, security, and data integrity. Act as the escalation point for complex technical decisions and platform trade-offs. Balance near-term delivery needs with long-term platform sustainability. Define and maintain Salesforce standards, patterns, and best practices.Ensure appropriate documentation, testing discipline, and release governance.Produce and maintain platform and delivery health reporting.
About You
Significant experience leading Salesforce platforms in complex, multi-team environments Strong functional and architectural Salesforce knowledge across multiple clouds Experience working with admins, developers, and external delivery partners Strong judgement around trade-offs, risk, and long-term platform health Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Calm, structured approach under pressure Prior consulting or system integrator experience is advantageous Salesforce certifications preferred, particularly architecture or cloud certifications
