We are currently seeking an experienced Deputy Maintenance Controller to support our Head of Aircraft Airworthiness & Maintenance Control (HAAMC) and play a key role in ensuring the continued airworthiness of our fleet.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Aircraft Airworthiness & Maintenance Control (HAAMC), you will provide high-level support in managing the company's aircraft airworthiness and maintenance control activities across all bases.
This includes oversight of servicing, maintenance planning and scheduling for our fleet, ensuring ongoing compliance with all regulatory requirements.
You will work closely with the HAAMC, Chief Engineer, Fleet Team Leaders, Engineering Base Managers, Engineers, Supply Chain and broader management team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day support to the HAAMC in managing aircraft airworthiness and maintenance control across all bases.
Manage and oversee servicing, maintenance and scheduling programs for the McDermott Aviation fleet, including: B214B, B214ST, B206, B204, B47, AS365 N2/N3 and AS355 aircraft.
Represent the HAAMC and the Airworthiness team at relevant meetings as required.
Assume the role and responsibilities of the HAAMC during periods of leave, as required.
Ensure compliance with regulations, identifying and escalating any deficiencies to the HAAMC.
Liaise with maintenance staff across all bases regarding documentation and maintenance-related issues.
Monitor Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins for applicability and advise the HAAMC accordingly.
Assist with monitoring the continued effectiveness of aircraft maintenance programs.
Support and take a lead role in the aircraft reliability program as required.
Undertake any other airworthiness or maintenance control tasks as directed by the HAAMC.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Proven experience in the aviation industry, specifically in aircraft maintenance and maintenance control.
Previous experience in a similar role (highly regarded).
The skills, experience and regulatory knowledge required to be acceptable from a CASA perspective to act as Deputy HAAMC.
A strong understanding of aircraft reliability principles and programs.
Sound knowledge of CASA regulatory requirements.
Knowledge and understanding of FAA regulations (desirable).
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple bases and teams.
