Your Responsibilities
The Health Promotion Coordinator—Injury Prevention is a member of the Injury Prevention business unit and is responsible for coordinating the development, delivery, evaluation, and reporting of injury prevention activities. You will be responsible for the following activities:
* Leading workforce engagement initiatives across the state for theKnow InjuryandStay On Your Feetprograms.
* Providing strategic leadership and oversight for workforce development activities, including suporting and delivering in-person training events and webinars, developing eLearning modules, and developing resources.
* Line supervising and supporting the Injury Prevention Officer – Workforce Engagement.
* Building and maintaining effective relationships and partnerships across the injury prevention sector.
* Enhancing the capacity of Local Governments throughout WA to address injury prevention, safety promotion, and recovery.
* Supporting Local Governments through collaborative stakeholder relationships, strategic partnerships, and guidance related to Public Health Planning.
* Identifying emerging needs and setting priorities to strengthen the skills and capacity of the injury prevention and safety promotion workforce in WA.
Selection Criteria
* You will have health promotion, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
* You will also have a minimum of three years of experience in a similar position.
* Knowledge and experience in implementing injury prevention evidence-based strategies and designing, delivering and evaluating services and health promotion programs.
* Ideally, you will possess a tertiary qualification in Health Promotion, Health Science, Social Marketing, Community Development, Behavioural Sciences,or another related discipline.

The technical bits
This position is 1 FTE, 75 hours a fortnight, on a specified term contract (12-month parental leave cover). This position is based in our Leederville office. However, some intrastate travel may be required.At times, you may be required to work outside of regular business hours. You will also be required to provide a current satisfactory Police Clearance, and a valid Driver's Licence is necessary.
