About the role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Child Care Assistant Director to join our team at Kuraby, QLD. As the Assistant Director, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Centre Director in the day-to-day operations of our state-of-the-art childcare facility, ensuring the highest standards of care, education and customer service are delivered to our families.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting the Centre Director in the overall management and leadership of the childcare centre
- Supervising and supporting the childcare staff, providing guidance, training and mentorship
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant childcare regulations, policies and procedures
- Fostering positive relationships with families and the local community
- Implementing and evaluating educational programs that promote the holistic development of children
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Assisting with the recruitment, onboarding and performance management of childcare staff
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of the centre's operations and services
What we're looking for
- Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Minimum 1 year's experience as a qualified Childcare Educator or Assistant Director
- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework and relevant childcare regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families and staff
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
- Commitment to providing high-quality care and education
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Permanent residency or Australian citizenship required
- Current Working with Children Check must be held at time of application
