Support Worker – Tweed Heads, NSW (Employed Role)
Please note: This is an employed role, not suitable for independent contractors. Applicants must be comfortable working as part of a team and providing 2:1 support when required.
We're looking for a compassionate Support Worker to join our warm and dedicated team, supporting a lovely participant in Tweed Heads, NSW.
About the Participant
Our participant is a vibrant 65-year-old woman who spent her career as a hairdresser. She's sociable, loves good company, and connects easily with people of all ages.
She is living with frontotemporal dementia, which is progressing quickly. While she experiences confusion and often needs support and redirection, she still enjoys a friendly chat and might even make you a cup of tea
We're looking for someone kind, patient, and enthusiastic who can help her feel safe, valued, and supported every single day.
Please note: Due to her communication needs and dementia-related challenges, support workers must speak clear, fluent English to ensure effective communication and understanding.
What We're Looking For
You must have ALL of the requirements listed below:
* Minimum Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support (Nursing applicants also welcome)
* Experience supporting individuals with dementia
* Current First Aid & CPR certification
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
* A reliable, fully insured vehicle and current drivers license
* Ability to work collaboratively within a support team and provide 2:1 support when required
* A genuine passion for helping others live their best life
Pay rate will depend on your qualifications and the times support is delivered.

Pay: $35.15 – $43.23 per hour
