The role involves strategic leadership, resource management, service integration, and maintaining high standards of service delivery, alongside direct clinical care.The region serves approximately 116,000 people, with major sites at North West Regional Hospital and Mersey Community Hospital, approximately 50 km apart. The department provides anaesthetic, general surgical, and orthopaedic services, with a team of full-time and part-time specialists, including registrar training with ANZCA.This position suits skilled medical professionals passionate about healthcare improvement. Experience in general or orthopaedic surgery or anaesthesia, with rural medicine exposure, is advantageous.
