Role Status: Multiple full-time temporary and ongoing vacancies available.

Remuneration: AHP3 ($108,347 - $116,216 per annum) / AHP2 ($91,785 - $106,330 per annum).

Essential Qualifications for AHP3

* Masters Degree in Clinical, Forensic or Health Psychology degree or equivalent.
* Registration under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law to practice as a Psychologist.
* Psychology Board of Australia endorsement as a Clinical, Forensic or Health Psychologist or willingness to work towards endorsement.

Essential Qualifications for AHP2

* Masters Degree in Clinical, Forensic or Health Psychology (or equivalent).
* Registered under the Health Practitioner Regulation National law to practice as a Psychologist.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct evidence-based, independent psychological assessments of clients.
* Foster and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Prepare high-quality psychological reports, contribute to case conferences and panels and provide expert evidence in court where required.
* Deliver therapeutic interventions that support healing, resilience and positive outcomes for children, young people and families.
* Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of support plans for staff working with clients affected by trauma and/or neglect.
* Assist in the design and delivery of training for staff, carers and external agencies.

About You (Core Capabilities)

You have a strong understanding of child and adolescent development and the complex challenges experienced by children and young people in care. You understand the legislative and practice frameworks underpinning child protection and apply a culturally responsive approach in your work. You are aware of the impacts of abuse, neglect, and trauma, as well as broader contributing factors such as mental health, substance misuse, family breakdown, and intergenerational trauma.

You communicate psychological concepts clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally, and are confident providing reports, advice, and evidence to a range of audiences including courts. You are comfortable working with ambiguity and complexity, and draw on your professional expertise to develop practical, evidence-based solutions. You are motivated by meaningful work and committed to supporting positive outcomes through psychological assessment and therapeutic intervention.

Salary & Benefits

* AHP3 ($108,347 - $116,216 per annum) + 12% superannuation + 4% child protection allowance.
* AHP2 ($91,785 - $106,330 per annum) + 12% superannuation + 4% child protection allowance.
