About the role
Blackrock Electrical Contractors Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Leading Hand and Tradesman to join our team in Sydney, NSW. As a Leading Hand, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the work of our electrical crew, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
What you'll be doing
* Supervising and coordinating the work of electricians and apprentices on site
* Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant electrical safety standards and regulations
* Troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that arise during projects
* Providing guidance and mentorship to junior electricians and apprentices
* Collaborating with project managers to ensure deadlines and budgets are met
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation
What we're looking for
* Qualified electrician with a current Electrical Tradesman's Licence
* Minimum of 2 years' experience as a qualified electrician, with proven leadership skills
* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality work
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under pressure
