We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Land & Property Officer to join a dynamic and growing local government organisation.
This role is responsible for coordinating and administering land authorisations, transactions and property-related activities to ensure compliant and effective use of community assets.
About the Role
You will be responsible for managing a broad range of land and property matters, including:
* Easements, encroachments, permits, licences and leases
* Road openings and closures
* Land revocations, acquisitions and disposals
* Asset and place naming processes
* Public consultation and stakeholder engagement
* Preparation of reports and correspondence
* Liaison and negotiation with landowners, consultants and internal teams
* Ensuring compliance with legislation, policies and record-keeping requirements
You will also contribute to policy development and support a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
About You
You will bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in property, land administration or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Experience in land transactions and property administration
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory processes
* Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
* Strong report writing and record management skills
* Database and MS Office proficiency
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
* A current driver's licence
Desirable:
* Experience with complex legal documents
* Experience using land or asset management systems (e.g. SAILIS or similar)
