Role Overview Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager, the Estimator plays a critical role in supporting business growth through the preparation of accurate, competitive, and compliant tenders. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across Revenue, Design & Engineering, and Delivery, as well as external clients, consultants, and vendors. This role is suited to a detail‑driven professional who thrives in a technically focused, fast‑paced environment and enjoys contributing to winning projects from concept through to completion. Key Responsibilities Review and analyse project drawings, specifications, and documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates Develop detailed costings for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor services Prepare and submit competitive tenders that meet all technical, commercial, and timeline requirements Compile and manage bid and contract documentation, including schedules, RFIs, CDEs, and registers Identify project risks relating to cost, scope, and delivery, and contribute mitigation strategies Source and assess supplier and subcontractor pricing to ensure best value outcomes Liaise with clients to clarify scope, respond to tender queries, and provide updates Maintain and improve estimating databases, tools, and historical cost information Ensure all estimates comply with relevant standards, regulations, and industry best practice Skills & Experience Strong understanding of construction methodologies, cost control, and project delivery Experience with estimating software and tools 5 years estimating experience in electrical, mechanical, and/or fire services within manufacturing, construction or consulting High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Self‑motivated with a high level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment What’s on Offer A stable, permanent role with a growing and respected organisation Exposure to diverse and technically challenging projects Collaborative and supportive team culture Opportunities for professional development and career progression Competitive salary package aligned with experience If you’re an experienced Estimator looking to contribute to high‑quality projects and be part of a business that values innovation, accuracy, and teamwork, we’d love to hear from you.
