Senior Practitioner-Youth Justice Program
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Youth Justice Support team. In this role, you will work closely with young people aged 10-17 years who have been involved in the youth justice system and held in youth detention.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting young people as they transition back into community life by developing and implementing individualized support plans.
* Providing intensive supervision and assertive outreach for 6-12 months post-release, ensuring successful reintegration into society.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Proven experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and young people involved in the justice system.
* A strong knowledge of trauma-informed and strengths-based practice principles.
* The ability to coach staff, lead program quality initiatives, and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
Candidates must hold relevant qualifications such as Social Work or Community Development, and possess a current Driver's Licence, police check, and Working with Children Check. If you are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people, we encourage you to apply.
