Job Description
This is an important leadership role. You will be putting your exceptional clinical skills to use as you make a difference in the lives of your clients and foster the development of others within the broader team.
On a daily basis, you will be:
* Managing an allocated caseload and completing therapeutic services in a timely manner
* Assessing participants emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental and physical level of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
* Interpreting findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
* Assist with guiding, collaborating with and reflecting with allocated New Grad/Junior staff members and/or a student.
* Review New Grad/Junior staff members and/or a student's reports and documentation.
* Conduct weekly scheduled contact (phone or face to face) with New Grad/Junior staff members and/or a student.
* Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance
About you
We are seeking a person with:
* Current registration (or eligibility for registration) with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
* Experience in delivering person-centred Occupational Therapy services
* Demonstrated at least 3 years clinical OT experience within community, rehabilitation and/or paediatrics
* A genuine passion for working in the disability sector
* Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
* Current and valid Working with Children and Police Checks
* Valid Driver's license and access to reliable motor vehicle
* The ability to work independently
