The Role:
We are looking for a Trainer Assessor / HSE Advisor to join our team who will monitor and support the safety function of our various projects and to provide HSE and Training support and coordination of safety practices, systems, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage compliance with all relevant WH&S; legislation.
- Ensure compliance with the safety systems and procedures within the workplace and provide operational support to the project management team.
- Participate in incident investigations and make recommendations for corrective actions.
- Conduct safety inductions and in-house training.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and monitoring work areas.
- Communicate HSE initiatives in daily pre-start meetings, induction programs, and toolbox meetings.
- Conduct hazard observations and risk assessments.
- Attend client HSE meetings.
- Establish positive working relationships with project personnel and raise awareness of safety risks.
- Assist in the development of communications tools and records for all project safety meetings.
- Prepare and maintain reports and documentation concerning the aspects of project safety programs.
- Evaluate, investigate, and gather information that will address inadequacies concerning safety matters.
About You:
- Must be flexible to travel to remote locations to conduct inspections, VOC Training and Assessments
- Must have experience in developing internal training and induction programs
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419) and Cert IV in Training and Assessing (TAE40122)
- Current and unrestricted drivers’ license.
- Senior First Aid and CPR
- Competent understanding of current WHS legislation in Western Australia.
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Office.
- Minimum 2 - 5 years' experience.
