About us:
Woorabinda Multipurpose Health Service is a vibrant facility with 63 staff members, located 175km west of Rockhampton Hospital. It offers a range of health services to the community, including emergency care, inpatient and outpatient services, and residential aged care.
The service collaborates with private providers to offer an expanded range of visiting specialist and allied health services, including paediatrics, ENT, cardiology, respiratory (adult and children), physician, ophthalmology, optometry, physiotherapy, nutrition and dietetics, podiatry, and dental.
About the role:
* Ensure high-quality and cost-effective clinical practice by participating in quality enhancement strategies such as peer review, clinical audits, clinical coding, adherence to evidence-based protocols, and maintaining high standards of clinical documentation.
* Provide daily public outpatient clinics and ward rounds at Woorabinda Multipurpose Health Service.
* Contribute to planning, implementing, and evaluating health promotion and illness prevention programs.
* Maintain and update clinical skills and knowledge to reflect contemporary rural medical practice and fulfill clinical duties.
About you:
* MBBS or equivalent, eligible for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia and AHPRA.
* Postgraduate qualifications (e.g., FRACGP or FACRRM) are highly regarded but not mandatory.
* Enrolled or accepted into a GP training program that facilitates a provider number and access to Medicare benefits for private practice.
What we offer:
Total remuneration valued up to $262,071 per annum, comprising:
* A salary between $182,106 - $193,468 per annum (MOR1-1 to MOR1-3)
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
* 17.5% leave loading
