About The Opportunity
We currently have multiple opportunities for either part-time or casual personal care workers to join our dedicated team at our residential facilities, which are:
* Thornbury
* St Albans
* Clayton
* Templestowe
You will play a critical role in delivering, person-centred care to our elderly residents. The role is ideal for compassionate individuals with a strong commitment to aged care, who take pride in making a meaningful difference in the lives of older Australians.
The Day-to-day Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and continence management, while ensuring residents feel comfortable and respected.
* Assist residents with mobility, transferring, and positioning using safe manual handling techniques.
* Assist residents with meals and fluids, and supporting any specific dietary requirements.
* Monitor the physical, emotional and cognitive conditions of residents, promptly reporting any concerns, changes or incidents to Senior staff.
* Maintain up to date and detailed care records, maintaining compliance with care plans, policies and regulatory requirements.
* Encourage residents to maintain their independence by making their own choices in their care and daily activities.
* Provide compassionate support to residents receiving short-term respite care.
* Follow infection prevention procedures, hygience protocols and workplace safety guidelines.
What Success Looks Like For This Role
* Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent.
* At least one year experience in a residential aged care facility.
* Previous experience providing personal care services in an aged care setting, including assisting with activities of daily living.
* Knowledge of incident reporting procedures and the ability to report safety concerns, hazards or resident incidents as per facility policies.
* A current National Police Check.
