This is a permanent full-time position commencing May 2025
Employee Relations are seeking to appoint a highly dedicated individual to the role of Consultant Psychologist Staff Wellbeing.
The Role
You will lead the development of innovative and evidence-based health and wellbeing programs that are consistent with Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation, and implement policies, protocols and procedures consistent with best practice industry standards for workplace mental health and wellbeing.
Within the role you will require high-level project and crisis management skills, including ability to successfully implement processes, deliver outcomes, and meet challenging deadlines whilst building and maintaining strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. As the successful applicant you will be required to represent the Department on matters related to achieving the Department’s WHS objectives and minimising and preventing injuries in the workplace.

Eligibility
To work with us, you must:
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
* Hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which entitles general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA)
* Complete the Department’s induction program within 3 months of commencement
* Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
* Complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within 6 months of appointment and every 3 years thereafter
* Complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement.
