**The Role**
The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program requires a proficient Financial Advisor, to monitor, review and coordinate the ERP budget and evaluate and interrogate financial data to ensure the accuracy of financial information in reports and systems. Working closely with the with ERP Finance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that ERP's complex budget is managed within Commonwealth frameworks including policies, procedures and guidelines, whilst providing accurate and timely financial reporting to ERP senior leadership.
You will evaluate and interrogate financial data from multiple sources to ensure the accuracy of financial information and through up-to-date forecasting and discussing budgeting matters (including pipeline expenditure) with stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

The Defence Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program is a business transformation program and a key enabler of Defence Transformation Strategy 2020. ERP is a major transformational program that will standardise, simplify and align processes across all Defence Groups and Services through an integrated system and consistent way of working. The Defence ERP Program is being rolled out over a number of years in a series tranches and releases. Defence priorities have set the order in which systems and processes will be replaced, starting with logistics, Defence materiel maintenance, finance, HR, engineering, estate and deployed systems.
- In depth knowledge of budgeting and Commonwealth finances.
- Ability to explain complex budget matters in a clear way to a variety of audiences.
- Experience preparing finance reports, processing journals and reconciling expenditure.
- A knowledge of the procurement function as it relates to budget inputs.
- Ability to build and sustain effective relationships with team members and actively participate in team work and group activities.
- High level communication, collaboration and negotiation skills to effectively manage stakeholder relationships.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, with particular focus on Excel.
- A high level organisation and time management skills and the ability to operate autonomously.
- A high level of discretion and confidentiality in managing the information shared with you and that you are privy to.
