Allied Health assistant – Transitional Aged Care Assistant 1/2/3 – Moruya. Permanent Part Time position in Moruya. Remuneration: 60,747.33 per annum. Applications close: 12 October 2025. This is a position within Southern NSW Local Health District and related to the Illawarra Mercury listing.
What You'll Be Doing
The Allied Health Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to the team in the delivery of allied health services to patients and clients, to facilitate the provision of high quality clinical care. Responsibilities include:
- Provide clinical and administrative support to the allied health team (physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, and other staff) to deliver therapy and rehabilitation services across a range of settings.
- Assist in the delivery of services under the supervision of an Allied Health Professional.
- Prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and operate within scope of practice; seek assistance as required.
- Demonstrate effective use of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and email applications.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with team members and clients.
Qualifications and Selection Criteria
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance with relevant skill sets, OR a relevant qualification and/or experience AND formal commitment to complete the training. Training will be supported and must be completed within 2 years of enrolment.
- Demonstrated ability to function as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and complete activities; work within scope of practice and seek supervision when required.
- Demonstrated computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and email applications.
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Current unrestricted driver’s licence and ability to drive/ travel as required (may involve long distances).
