Earbus Foundation of Western Australia (EFWA)'s mission is to reduce the incidence of middle ear disease in Indigenous and at-risk children in Western Australia below the World Health Organization benchmark of 4%. In addition to this, the Foundation aims to address other significant ear health needs and issues such as Newborn Hearing Screening and paediatric diagnostic services in Western Australia.

EOI - Full time Position

As part of the Audiology Team, the Graduate Audiologist will have responsibility for the provision of clinical services to infants and children in the Hear Today Clinic (Perth Metro) and monthly clinics in regional Western Australia. Working closely with, and reporting to, the Director, Clinical services & Outcomes, the Graduate Audiologist will oversee clinical service provision. S/he will work as part of a small, multidisciplinary, clinical team ensuring clinical standards are met and program compliance achieved.

This position offers varied clinical work in a range of clinical locations. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work as part of diverse trans-disciplinary teams to provide clinical services to the WA community. Travel is required within Western Australia and flexible working conditions create a position that maintains work-life balance. The position aligns the creative spark that drives EFWA as an organisation, together with our core values, for an interesting and varied clinical caseload.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Graduate Audiologist will have some of the following responsibilities:

·Working in partnership with the Newborn Hearing Screening Coordinator as part of the Newborn Hearing Screening Program - to provide Audiological advice and parental liaison as well as the provision of Newborn Hearing Screening

·Behavioural testing for infants and children for diagnostic purposes (0-21 years)

·Clinical support for ENT clinics in the Perth Metro region

·Clinical support for ENT clinics in some regional areas (travel required)

·Audiological support services as part of the Audiology team to rural and remote Australia supporting other programs within EFWA including working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children (travel required)

·Developing strong stakeholder relationships

·Other tasks as required operationally

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

As a prerequisite, the successful graduate must embody the core values of Eabus and be driven by the Foundation's mission. The Graduate should demonstrate a passion for, and commitment to, social change in ear health in Western Australia.

Full training and clinical support is provided in line with the Foundation's value of providing

a supportive working environment.

The successful person will: have a Tertiary Qualification in Audiology; be dedicated to working in a small team environment to provide the highest level of care to Western Australian Communities and families; be (or be eligible to be) Full Members of Audiology Australia Ltd. A Current WA Driver's licence (with driving experience as all staff need to drive one of the Mercedes Sprinter Earbus'), a WA Working with Children Card and Police Clearance is also required prior to commencement of work.
