Your role within Housing and Homelessness Services will support the department to deliver housing and homelessness services. The work contributes daily, making a positive difference in our community.
The Jimaylya Topsy Harry Centre offers a safe environment for individuals experiencing crisis due to addiction, domestic and family violence, lack of affordable housing or unemployment. They can seek assistance with intensive case management, support from external agencies, or temporary accommodation.
You will assist the Manager develop and maintain processes, systems, and databases necessary for effective centre administration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish efficient staff rostering processes, including roster planning, shift coverage, leave, and training.
* Support case workers in progressing customers through accommodation and program options.
* Coordinate financial, administrative, and human resource functions to ensure compliance with policies and standards.
* Capture and reflect all staff movements correctly in HR and financial systems.
* Assist in cost centre management.
* Develop relationships with the public, customers, staff, government agencies, and non-government service organisations.
* Promote a workplace safety culture by implementing Workplace Health and Safety policies and practices.
