Role Type: Sessional
Availablity: Casual employment with two to three blocks of training per year
Remuneration: $ 90.07 per hour (dependent on qualifications)
About The Role
As a Construction Skid Steer Teacher, you will deliver high-quality training and assessment in Civil Construction programs to adult learners within a correctional setting. Your role will include:
Delivering accredited civil construction and pre-apprenticeship training aligned with industry standards and safety regulationsSupporting learners to build confidence and competence in construction skills and workplace readinessMaintaining accurate records of student progress, assessments, and compliance documentationCreating a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learner needsYou’ll be part of a supportive team committed to providing vocational education that empowers learners and contributes to safer communities

Certificate IV in Training & Assessment Certificate III in Civil Construction, Certificate II in Building and Construction or Certificate II Supply Chain Operations (or equivalent)Current White card (Construction Induction card)Relevant and current civil construction experienceExperience delivering training in adult education or vocational settings (beneficial)Effective communication skills for working in correctional settingsComputer proficiencyCompliance paperwork managementAbility to teach independentlyCommitment to safety, inclusion, and learner success
