Lecturer in Health Promotion
Join the University of the Sunshine Coast as a Lecturer in Health Promotion. You will develop and deliver contemporary health promotion curricula, supervise and mentor students, and conduct research that aligns with the School of Health's priorities in health equity, community wellbeing, and socio‑ecological determinants of health.

* Academic Level B – $114,751 to $136,143 p.a., plus up to 17% employer superannuation
About You
As an inspiring and passionate educator, you create inclusive and engaging learning environments where students are motivated to excel. With deep subject expertise, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach, you design meaningful learning experiences that spark curiosity and build confidence.
You Will Possess
* Completion or near‑completion of a doctoral qualification in a relevant health promotion field or equivalent accreditation and standing
* Qualification in health promotion that meets requirements for professional accreditation with the International Union for Health Promotion and Education
* Effectiveness as a teacher, evidenced by student feedback using a valid instrument, peer review and/or student outcomes, and the capacity to conceive, develop and deliver higher‑education curricula and contribute to relevant areas of teaching
* Evidence of research experience, including refereed publications; participation in research teams; co‑supervision of candidates for honours and higher degrees by research
* Membership of and sound connections with relevant professional bodies and community groups and/or professional practice
* Strong personal qualities and collegial approaches that contribute to a positive academic environment conducive to high levels of engagement and standards of achievement for both staff and students
* Evidence of participation in academic development activities and the desire to continue learning and improving as an effective academic
Desirable
* Experience undertaking academic administrative functions, e.g. course coordination, within a university
* Professional health promotion practice experience
