An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join an Intensive Care Department at a private hospital in Melbourne. Casual positions available - minimum commitment of 1 shift per week. There is a scholarship support for postgraduate studies offered, as the future development of all staff is supported.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of excellent standard of evidence based, person centred patient care;
* Demonstrating professional practice as evidence by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements and Healthscope's polices and processes;
* Acting as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care by actively contributing to team processes and practices;
* Collaborating with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the health care continuum;
* Maintaining professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS
* Current registration with AHPRA;
* Post Graduate Certificate in Critical Care\Intensive Care, or 3 years of experience in ICU;
* Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
* Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
* Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and customer-focused;
* Flexibility to work a full rotating roster.
REMUNERATION
Salaries range between $36.14 - $48.32.

The hospital, located in Melbourne, is a fully accredited tertiary facility with 295 beds that provides Emergency Services, Intensive Care and Cardiac Services, including a 24-hour Cardiac Cath Lab and Victoria's only Single-Site Robotic Surgery Program. The hospital has 11 operating theatres, which offer a broad range of specialties, including Cardiac, Neurosurgery, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Urology, Laparoscopic, Colorectal, Vascular and General Surgery. Specialised wards include two orthopaedic wards, two cardiac, dedicated medical, and specialty surgical wards.
