Parts Interpreter
As a key team member, the Parts Interpreter plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient operation of the parts department. Their main focus is on processing spare parts orders and enquiries in a timely and organized manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily stock management to ensure availability for workshops, field technicians, interstate branches, and end-users.
- Analyze inventory levels and maintain reorder points.
- Provide effective leadership and performance management to team members.
- Ensure all administrative tasks are carried out according to company procedures.
Key Duties:
- Maintain accurate sales records and reports.
- Liaise with customers, sales, service, and other departments to achieve desired outcomes.
- Efficiently manage parts reception, despatch, sales, and invoicing.
- Supply parts to workshops, clients, and transfer stock while maintaining database accuracy.
- Manage paperwork, spreadsheets, and housekeeping in the parts department.
- Reorder stock as needed and implement continuous improvement in systems and procedures.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Workshop Equipment operation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications (desirable).
- Forklift Ticket and current Driving Licence.
- Basic knowledge of warehousing, stock control, and inventory management.
- Microsoft Office Suite and Pronto system skills.
- Understanding of OH&S and EPA regulations.
- Familiarity with business concepts and P&L fundamentals.
- Knowledge of the Haulage industry.
