This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to lead the management of IT supplier engagements. The ideal candidate will have experience in vendor performance management and be able to assess and enhance vendor performance.
Job Description
* To ensure effective vendor and contract management across IT, aligning with procurement policies;
* To manage IT contracts and software licences, ensuring compliance and value;
* To collaborate with Agreement Managers to strengthen vendor relationships and oversight;
* To drive cost reductions, improved vendor performance, and continuous IT service improvement.
The successful candidate will be a strategic, proactive leader who can build strong vendor relationships, monitor supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement across our IT contracts.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement IT contract and supplier management frameworks;
* Negotiate and manage IT contracts and software licenses;
* Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements;
* Monitor and report on vendor performance and contract compliance.
This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in vendor performance management;
* Strong financial management skills, including forecasting and budgeting;
* Proven success in managing vendor relationships and driving cost reductions;
* Solid knowledge of the IT industry and procurement trends.
Desirable Qualifications
* Procurement qualifications (e.g., Level 3 procurement training, CIPSA accreditation);
* Knowledge of university policies and state government procurement legislation.
