The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a diverse and collaborative organisation that delivers services and initiatives across Ahpra. In this role you will be responsible for the provision of effective and efficient executive support, coordination and administration to enable the Executive Director to achieve their objectives of a sustainable, capable health workforce to provide health care to the Australian public. You will be professional, credible and your ability to build and foster key stakeholder relationships will see you succeed.

This is a full time, fixed term (up to 12months) opportunity that can be located in any Ahpra location.

In this role you will:

* Provide confidential executive assistance whilst demonstrating a thorough understanding of the office and the key roles and responsibilities.
* Ensure diaries are efficiently managed, including scheduling appointments, arranging meetings, booking rooms and organising catering as required
* To respond promptly to stakeholder requests, collate and disseminate relevant information, resolve standard problems, escalate issues when required, and effectively prioritise time and capacity to respond to stakeholders
* Organise travel arrangements, including bookings and preparation of detailed itineraries.
* To assist in the delivery of projects within the Office as required
* Effectively manage relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally

As the ideal candidate, you will demonstrate the following:

* Demonstrated experience managing an office supporting senior executives in a complex environment
* Certificate IV or Diploma of Business Administration
* Advanced computer skills and in depth knowledge of relevant software such as Microsoft Office Suite
* Well-developed verbal and written communication, including writing of agendas, minutes and correspondence.
* Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
* A focus on detail with strong time management skills
* The ability to exercise sound judgement and resolve issues independently
