About The Role
You will be working for a vibrant, innovative, expanding company that prides itself as a solution to our customers' needs. Your focus will be on meeting our customers' requirements and expectations. This role reports directly to the Workshop Manager. We are offering an above‐award wage, with rates commensurate with the applicant's experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
* Interpret engineering plans and drawings for the repair and manufacture of Hook Loaders, Skip Loaders and Rear Loading compactors
* Independently measure out metal component requirements according to engineering drawings and choose appropriate welding techniques
* Weld and fabricate metal components to assemble Hook Loaders, Skip Loaders and Rear Loading compactors
* Test and inspect welded joints for compliance
* Install Hook Loaders, Skip Loaders and Rear Loading compactors
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
* Relevant welding trade qualifications
* Be a competent welder with at least five years of work experience
* Fitting and assembly experience required
* Positive attitude
* Ability to follow directions and understand the logical flow of work
* Must be a team player but also work independently
* Take pride in workmanship with strong attention to detail
* Ability to work unsupervised
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem‐solving skills
* Forklift licence would be an advantage
* Uniforms and product training will be provided to the successful applicant
