A bit about your role As a Customer Field Technician based in the Sydney Metro Area, you’ll play a vital role delivering customer service field tasks across a range of nbn™ technologies. This autonomous role involves installation, repair and maintenance of nbn™ products and services, working across internal and external environments, with a strong focus on customer premises. A typical day may include: Installation of copper, fibre and HFC cabling, including jointing, jumpering and splicing Customer premises installation of nbn™ Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) Fault diagnosis and repair of nbn™ cabling networks and nbn™ CPE Providing high‑quality customer interactions and on‑site support These roles operate between 7am and 7pm depending on business needs, with flexibility encouraged. A bit about you We highly encourage applications from licensed electricians, electrical trade assistants, data cablers, and technicians looking to expand their skills into telecommunications. As an electrical professional, you will bring: Practical hands‑on experience working with tools, wiring, cabling, or electrical systems Strong understanding of safe work practices, risk awareness and working in accordance with industry standards The ability to read/interpret wiring layouts, follow technical procedures, and complete high‑quality installations A natural aptitude for diagnosing faults, troubleshooting equipment and solving problems on the spot Experience working in customers’ homes or workplaces, with a focus on delivering professional, respectful and clear communication You’ll also be: Self‑managed, reliable, and motivated to deliver great outcomes for customers Comfortable working independently in the field In possession of a current Driver’s Licence Someone with strong interpersonal and written communication skills If you have an electrical trade background—whether fully qualified or progressing through the trade—and are keen to transition your skills into a rapidly growing tech sector, we’d love to hear from you.
