Job Title: Risk Management Specialist
Job Summary:
* To proactively support and inform decision making, coaching and facilitation of project teams' development and implementation of the Risk Management framework.
About the Role:
This role is a key member of the Global Project Services and Controls team, responsible for providing Risk Management and Leadership. The primary responsibilities include supporting project teams in developing and implementing risk management frameworks, ensuring business and project integration meets project development deliverables and risk management process across project phases and gating requirements, and maintaining risk compliance across the risk management platform.
The role requires close collaboration with project teams to identify and address material risks, provide assurance and executive summaries as per regular reporting requirements, and ensure the risk platform is maintained, compliant, and accurate to support reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Project Risk Management Standard in accordance with Project and Corporate requirements.
* Work with a portfolio of projects and project teams to ensure risk registers capture key study/execution risks and corresponding controls and treatment actions.
* Ensure regular risk reviews to meet project phase, gate, and governance requirements, promoting project team ownership and accountability for risk.
* Proactively support the project portfolio to identify, escalate, and address material risks early.
* Provide assurance and executive summaries as required by regular reporting needs.
* Maintain the risk platform to ensure it remains compliant and accurate to support reporting requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree qualification or equivalent risk management exposure in a project discipline. Risk-related certifications and expertise would be advantageous.
* Minimum 5+ years' experience supporting large capital projects in project risk roles, preferably in the resources and renewable energy sector.
* Able to adapt to multidisciplinary requirements, communicate with various stakeholders across an international business operating continuously in all time zones.
* Strong commercial, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, gained through successful project delivery.
* Demonstrated experience in providing robust project decision support, assurance, and governance.
* Must enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, collaborating with other like-minded team members and adjacent projects, with occasional travel required.
