You'll provide practice oversight, mentoring, and operational leadership to ensure safe, inclusive, and effective service delivery for our Cape York Team.Key responsibilities include:Oversee intake, assessment, and care planning processesSupervise and mentor support workers and practitionersCollaborate with families, carers, and external stakeholdersEnsure compliance with child protection legislation and best practicePromote culturally safe services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communitiesContribute to continuous improvement and service innovationParticipate in after-hours and on-call support as requiredWhat We're Looking ForWe're seeking a confident, values-driven leader who thrives in a dynamic, people-focused environment.You'll bring:A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or related field.At least 3 years' experience in child protection or youth/family services.Experience leading a team in a care or support setting.Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and child development.Demonstrated understanding of child protection and out-of-home care systems, including familiarity with Child Protection Act 1999 and DFV legislation.Experience working alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, children, young people, families and communities in an organisational context.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.A current driver's licence.A current National Police Certificate, Working with Children (Blue Card), Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS) - or ability to acquire.About UsWe are one of Australia's largest and most diverse not-for-profit organisations, with a legacy of care and compassion spanning over 140 years.
