We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Professional to join our dynamic team at Club Wyndham Mission Beach.
The successful candidate will support the smooth operation of our resort food service from food preparation and cooking to maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
* Assist in meal preparation and cooking according to menu and dietary needs
* Maintain high hygiene standards at all times
* Ensure cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas
* Support stock rotation and inventory checks
* Work collaboratively with front-of-house and resort teams
* Uphold safe work practices in line with OH&S requirements
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook meals according to menu specifications and dietary requirements
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to high hygiene standards
* Conduct stock rotation and inventory checks to ensure optimal supply levels
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues across various departments to achieve shared goals
* Comply with Occupational Health and Safety regulations to guarantee a safe working environment
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a commercial kitchen or related environment
* Passion for delivering exceptional food quality and presentation
* Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
* Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude
* Certificate in Food Safety (desired)
* Commercial Cookery qualification (highly regarded but not essential)
