Scotch Oakburn College is seeking a part-time Teachers' Assistant to support the delivery of Food Technology, Textiles and Visual Art classes. Commencing in January 2026 this is a permanent part‑time position for 30 hours each academic week of the year. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised individual to contribute to the educational experience of our students.
What you'll be doing
* Assist teachers in preparing and setting up classrooms and materials for lessons
* Provide small group support to students during classes
* Help maintain and organise equipment, materials and resources
* Contribute to the overall administration and organisation of the department
* Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure a positive and engaging learning environment
What we're looking for
* Demonstrated experience in a similar teaching assistant or support role, preferably within a secondary school setting
* Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support students and work collaboratively with teaching staff
* Passion for education and a genuine interest in the subjects of Food Technology, Textiles and Visual Art
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in education, arts or a related field would be advantageous
