Position summary
Do you have exceptional personal judgement, analysis and problem-solving skills? Are you a motivated, skilled administration professional with a desire to contribute to Australia's agricultural productivity?
The Senior Administration Officer will be required to utilise personal judgement, analysis, and problem-solving skills to make well-informed recommendations to supervisors. Strong time management, prioritisation skills, organisational and communication skills are essential to this position. The range of tasks may include: client liaison, initial assessments of applications and the assessment of non-technical applications. Duties may also include managing incoming enquiries and additional information provided by applicants.

To be considered for these roles you will need the following essential criteria:
Well-developed organisational and planning skills with the ability to effectively plan work and manage conflicting priorities to meet deadlines and assist in delivering high-quality outcomes during periods of high demand.
Demonstrated experience in performing administrative work requiring strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping skills.
The ability to be flexible, adaptable, proactive and work collaboratively as part of a team and establish effective professional relationships with team members.
Proficiency in using computer-based software and the ability to learn new programs quickly.
Two years' experience working in a customer service environment with strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and professionally and effectively action verbal and written enquiries.

An interest, or relevant qualifications, in a scientific field is desirable but not mandatory.

If an offer of non-ongoing employment is made, the successful applicant could be employed for an initial period of up to 12 months, which may be extended in accordance with subsection 333E (1) of the Fair Work Act 2009.
