KAEFER have an exciting opportunity to work on a major project in the Pilbara region with a Tier 1 mining client. The role will be offered on an 8/6 roster with point of hire being Perth only.

We are now seeking experienced and driven PROJECT ENGINEERS to support the safe and efficient delivery of maintenance, construction and shutdown projects. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to major SMP scopes while working within a high‑performance project team.
Responsibilities
* Support the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, cost control and progress reporting.
* Develop work packs, method statements, ITPs and ensure engineering deliverables meet project standards.
* Coordinate materials, equipment, subcontractors and labour to enable smooth project execution.
* Track daily progress, analyse earned hours, monitor PF and assist with forecasting.
* Review drawings, identify constructability issues and raise TQs, RFIs or design clarifications.
* Assist with QA/QC activities including inspections, redlines, MDR compilation and punch list close‑out.
* Support risk management, change control processes and variation development.
* Work collaboratively with SMP, commissioning and operations teams to resolve issues promptly.
* Champion safety through preparation of safe work documentation and active engagement in the field.
About You
* Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Structural, Electrical or related discipline) or equivalent experience in shutdown environments (preferred but not essential).
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in mining, construction or heavy industrial projects.
* Strong organisational, analytical and problem‑solving capability.
* Confident interpreting drawings, specifications and engineering documentation.
* Effective communicator who can work across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
