Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Geologist – Operations to join our KCGM Underground Operations. This residential role operates on an 8/6 roster, offering a dynamic and rewarding work environment in one of Australia's premier gold mining regions.
Responsibilities
* Utilising your analytical and technical expertise to accurately assess and interpret geological data from underground and core samples.
* Supervising drilling contractors and providing expert guidance to safely maximise project efficiency.
* Safety standard bearer: Stand for and proactively pursue our number one Starr action: Safety.
* Rock-solid foundation: Possesses a fundamental understanding of geology and its processes, with a strong grasp on production.
* Data detective: Ability to analyse and interpret geological and production data effectively.
* Collaborative communicator: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a team and with others, with the ability to adapt to different communication styles and collaborate with people from different backgrounds and disciplines.
Qualifications
* A tertiary qualification (minimum degree level) in geology, current Unencumbered Western Australian \"C\" Class Manual Driver's Licence.
Experience
* 2+ years as a geologist in the resource industry, preferably within an underground gold mining operation, experienced in software such as Datamine, Leapfrog and Acquire, good sampling and QAQC knowledge, effective team work and Contractor Management skills, Goldfield's resident or willing to relocate for our residential world-class ore body.
