The VLSB+C is recruiting looking to recruit an Assistant Manager for their Costs Disputes and Compliance team for a 6 months fixed term opportunity.
About the Position
In this role, you will be assisting in managing and supporting the team in order to deliver high quality and responsive services to consumers and lawyers in regards to consumer, disciplinary and mixed complaints. Reporting to the Manager, Costs Disputes and Compliance, you will be leading together the provision of high quality dispute resolution services.
This role will have regular contacts with internal and external stakeholders including other managers and Division staff, members of the public, complainants, lawyers, law firms and professional associations.
About You
You will have
- A strong experience in complaint management
- A strong experience in team and people management
- A good understanding of the operation of legal practice and of the complaints provisions relating to the regulation of legal practitioners and legal practices in Victoria
- A tertiary qualification in law will be highly regarded as well as a formal qualification or accreditation in Alternative Dispute Resolution or significant experience in dispute or complaint management
